Overview
Synthetic grass, or imitation turf, is a human-made ground cover which has synthetic fibers to imitate natural grass. Synthetic grass can be used for landscaping, playgrounds, sports fields, and other areas outdoors that could not typically be attainable to grow or maintain real grass.
Artificial grass typically consists of two main components:
Synthetic fibers
These fibers are usually made from materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or nylon. They are designed to be durable, resilient, and resistant to fading from sunlight.
Backing material
The fibers are tufted into a backing material, which provides stability and support. The backing is usually made from materials like polyurethane or latex.
